A teen’s chain was pulled and stolen from her neck by a man on Steinway Street last month, police say.
The 16-year-old girl was in front of 32-86 Steinway Street, across the street from the Rite Aid on Steinway Street and 34th Avenue, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on July 22 when a man yanked her chain, fleeing westbound with it on 34th Avenue.
Police have released a video and photo of the unidentified suspect.
The man is described as black, 30 to 40 years old, and with a beard. He was last seen wearing a green bucket hat, a camouflage shirt, camouflage shorts, and black and orange sneakers.
