
Incident at Ascan Ave. and Austin Street. (GMaps)

The police are looking for three men who have snatched cellphones from women in Forest Hills and Rego Park in the past month.
The first incident took place in the vicinity of Ascan Avenue and Austin Street at around 3:20 pm on Tuesday, July 4, when the victim was pushed from behind by one man while another snatched her cellphone from her hand. The suspects then ran toward Queens Boulevard.
On Thursday, July 13, at around 11:30 am the men allegedly approached a 45-year-old woman in the vicinity of 63rd Avenue and 99th Street, approached her from behind and grabbed her cellphone from her hand. The men then fled toward Queens Blvd.

The first suspect is described as black, dark complexion, 5’8″-5’9″, 130-140 lbs., last seen wearing a grey shirt, grey shorts, white sneakers and a camouflage head band.
The second man has been described as black, dark complexion, 5’8″-5’9″, 130-140 lbs., last seen wearing a black and white shirt, dark colored jeans and dark colored sneakers.
The third suspect has been described as Hispanic, medium complexion, 5’8″-5’9″, 130-140 lbs., last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, gray shorts, dark colored sneakers and a tattoo on his arm
