A man tried to rape a 24-year-old woman in Woodside in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to police.
The suspect allegedly approached the woman in the vicinity of Woodside Avenue and 61st Street at around 12:30 am Thursday, simulated that he had a firearm and exposed himself. He then forced the victim to touch his genitals, police said.
The alleged perpetrator then tried to lure the woman to a secluded area near a construction site. However, the victim was able to run away and saw people walking in the area.
The suspect fled in an unknown location.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, light complexion, approximately 25-years of age, 5’7″, 140 lbs., brown hair, last seen wearing a gray hooded jacket, dark green pants, and a gray cap
