The police have arrested a man who allegedly tried to grope an off duty female cop on the 7 train as it approached the 40th Street subway station on Friday.
Fnu Kamruzzaman, 27, was charged with rubbing his genitals on the officer’s arm while they were riding a Manhattan-bound 7 train around 10:20 a.m. Friday.
The officer confronted him and he fled after the train pulled into the 40th Street station, police said. Police released video of Kamruzzaman running shirtless through Sunnyside after he left the station.
“This pervert picked the wrong victim – fled leaving behind his backpack, phone, his DNA, & his dignity. Transit SVU Dets got him within hrs!” tweeted NYPD Transit Chief Joseph Fox.
Kamruzzaman, who lives on 72nd Street near the Roosevelt/74th Street station, was charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse, cops said.
In 2014, according to the Daily News, Kamruzzaman was cuffed for rubbing himself on a 15-year-old girl on a train as it passed through the Upper West Side.
