Police search for suspect in connection to Flushing stabbing

FLUSHING — Police were searching for a man suspected of assault in Flushing.

According to police, on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 11:35 hours a 29-year old female victim and Jian Li, 35, were on the corner of 168th Street and Crocheron Avenue when they got into a dispute that turned physical.

Police said Li allegedly used a knife to stab the woman in the stomach twice. According to police, Li fled northbound towards 168th Sreet and the victim was taken to North Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police described Li as 6 feet tall and 220 pounds with a light complexion.

Police said Li was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hat and green pants.
