Discover Flushing‘s food, shopping, venues and more, all in one place.

Flushing Fantastic, the neighborhood’s new destination portal, was officially launched on Sept. 21. A comprehensive 2017 fall and winter events guide can also be accessed digitally here.

Spearheaded by the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce and Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE), the Flushing Fantastic website features maps, events listings, small business profiles and itineraries for visitors looking to explore the diverse corridor, which is the fourth largest commercial district in New York.

“Flushing Fantastic recognizes our community’s transition from the margins to the center,” said John Choe, executive director of Greater Flushing. “By showcasing the stories of those who struggled and overcame the odds, we chronicle a neighborhood that has become the real New York — a place where people from around the world make their home, share their unique culture, and enjoy the best America has to offer.”

The best places to dine, explore and relax can be explored in the Explore or Insider Picks webpage. A comprehensive look at all the neighborhood has to offer can be accessed by clicking the Flushing A-Z tab.

Visitors are encouraged to share their experiences through Instagram and other social media platforms using the #MyFlushing hashtag and can also receive the Flushing Fantastic newsletter through email by texting “MYFLUSHING” to 22828.

“Flushing truly has something to offer everyone and this new website gives people an easy way to jump into our great neighborhood,” said Christopher Kui, executive director of Asian Americans for Equality.

The campaign was developed in partnership with the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS), which recently awarded the commercial corridor $1.55 million in grants to be used for a revitalization.
