The NYPD has identified the victim of a gruesome and fatal hit-and-run in North Corona early Sunday morning.

Pedro Perez, 51, a resident of 91st Street in Jackson Heights, was in an argument with a woman on Roosevelt Avenue near 112th Street when a man pushed him into the roadway, police said. Perez was then struck by a black sedan traveling westbound on Roosevelt Avenue, they said. Perez was dragged about 145 feet before stopping, according to the Daily News. The driver got out, saw Perez pinned under the car, got back in and reversed over his body before speeding off, the Daily News reported.

There were no arrests and the investigation was ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
