Knife-wielding woman goes on a robbery spree near Ravenswood, police say

The police are looking for a knife-wielding woman who allegedly went on a robbery spree in Long island City on Monday.

The woman entered a deli, located at 12-03 40th Avenue, at about 5:00 am Monday, displayed a knife and demanded that the employee hand over the cash in the register. The suspect took off with $120, police said.

Later that morning, at about 10:30 am, the suspect entered the Metro PCS store at 13-05 40th Avenue, displayed a knife and demanded that the employee empty the cash register. The suspect fled with $50, according to police.

Then at 10:45 am, the woman armed with a knife went into Boost Mobile at 40-35 21st Street and demanded the contents in the register. The employee did not comply and the woman got nothing, according to police.

Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, in her twenties, about 5’3″ and 170lbs. She was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, and a gray long sleeve sweat jacket.
