An Ozone Park man will be spending up to the next eight years behind bars for sexually abusing and taking x-rated pictures of a 14-year-old girl nearly two years ago.

According to Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown, Robert Pou, 54, of 101st Avenue pleaded guilty back in November of 2017 to use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, second-degree attempted criminal sexual act and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Justice Richard L. Buchter ordered Pou on Jan. 17 to serve between four to eight years behind bars.

Law enforcement sources said that Pou served several alcoholic beverages to the then-14-year-old girl on June 8, 2016 when she passed out. After she became intoxicated, prosecutors said, Pou had the girl perform a sex act on him; he also took several naked pictures of her with his cellphone.

The girl’s sister found at least 10 naked photos of the victim on Pou’s phone the following day, prosecutors said.

“Betraying the trust of a young, innocent girl, [Pou] violated her for his own sick gratification,” Brown said in a statement on Jan. 18. “The sentence imposed by the court today is more than warranted.”
