Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building in Woodside just a block away from the 69th St/Roosevelt Avenue subway station.
The new building, with an address of 40-06 68 St., will rise 55 feet high, and will predominantly hold residential units in its 21,530 square-feet of space.
Over 16,900 square-feet of space will house 22 units at the proposed building. Floors two through four would each hold six apartments, while the remaining two floors would see four apartments each.
An outdoor recreation area is also planned for the fifth floor and the roof for resident use.
The building’s first floor will hold commercial establishments in 3,152 square feet of space along with space for a 1,443 square foot community facility. The community facility will most likely house an after school space for 8 to12-year-olds, records show.
Other building amenities include a laundry room, storage spaces for 22 bicycles, and parking for 12 cars.

The proposed building’s site, at a currently empty lot, was once occupied by a two-story home with an address of 40-14 68th St.
Tan Architect, the Flushing-based architectural firm, is in charge of the building’s design.
The site owner did not immediately respond to questions on the proposed building.
