Police are looking for a gunman who fired four shots into a man and killed him on a Richmond Hill street on Tuesday night.

At 9:21 p.m. on Jan. 16, officers from the 106th Precinct responded to a report regarding an assault in front of a home on 135th Street near 105th Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found Omaree Morrison, 19, with multiple gunshot wounds in his torso.

According to law enforcement sources, Morrison — a resident of 109th Avenue in South Jamaica — was in a car with five of his relatives just before the shooting took place.

Authorities said Morrison stepped out of the car and walked a couple of car lengths away when he was approached by the unidentified suspect, who then shot Morrison four times in the torso before fleeing the scene on foot.

EMS responded to the scene and transported Morrison to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As of Wednesday morning, police did not have a description of the shooter, or a possible motive.

No arrests have been made; the investigation is ongoing.
