Man Found Dead at Long Island City Waterfront This Morning: NYPD

A man was found dead by the Long Island City shoreline this morning, according to the NYPD.

Police say they responded to a 911 call today at around 10:28 a.m. of an unconscious man by 44th Drive and Vernon Boulevard. The man, unidentified, was unconscious and unresponsive at the shoreline of the East River, police say.

EMS then arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead, according to police.

The medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death, police say. The NYPD has not released the deceased man’s identity, as his family has not been notified.
