The city Parks Department will utilize New York’s fourth Nor’easter as a day of free winter fun in the city’s former greenspaces that have been blanketed in snow following Winter Storm Toby.
Juniper Valley Park — located in Middle Village between 78th Street and 6th Avenue — will be hosting snow activities Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Guests can borrow free sleds for supervised sledding and can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate while listening to music.
There will also be snowman-building contests, snow angel contests and snowball fights open to the public.
Cloves Lakes Park in Staten Island and Sunset Park in Brooklyn are also offering winter activities.
