A man stole $1,000 from the TD Bank in Court Square yesterday after passing a note to the teller demanding money, according to police.
The thief went inside the bank at 21-31 46th Ave. just before 11 a.m. on Feb. 28, and slipped the note directly to the employee, police said. He then fled the scene after the bank worker gave him the $1,000 in cash, police say.

The incident followed an attempt just minutes before by the man to steal money at the nearby Bank of America, according to police. The thief went inside the 24-10 Jackson Ave. at 10:50 a.m., and placed a note up to the glass demanding money, police say.
He fled the location after the teller walked away, according to police.

The suspect is behind seven other robberies or attempted robberies at banks through Brooklyn dating back to Jan 2, according to police. He left with money in all but two of the incidents, with most of the values being undetermined. The last two incidents in Long Island City are his first attempts in Queens.
Police describe him as black, between 30 to 40 years old, and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He can be seen in surveillance video from a Jan. 9 robbery in a Greenpoint bank, where he quickly slipped a folded note to the teller.
