NYPD: Shots Fired In Local Park, Near Site Where Baby Found Dead in Trash Can

Police are looking for a suspect who fired shots inside a playground near the border of Long Island City and Astoria midday on Feb. 19.

The police received a report that an individual fired a gun three times around 12:40 p.m. inside Dutch Kills Playground, near the corner of 36th Avenue and Crescent Street.

The incident occurred two days after a newborn boy was found dead in a trash can near the same street corner.

The police, who released video of the suspect, did provide a detailed description of the suspect.
