A new pizza restaurant has opened inside Long Island City’s Boro Hotel.
Beebe’s, the name of the restaurant, is located in Dutch Kills at 38-28 27th St., and features an array of wood-fire, thin crust pizzas, pastas, and other New American dishes.
Pies include the “Hot Italian”, made with pickled chili and Italian sausage, the “Jimmy Forager”, made with pecorino and sweet fennel sausage, and the “Rooftop”, prepared with housemate ricotta, arugula, lemon, and olive oil. All pies are between $14 and $17.
The new restaurant offers three pasta varieties, as well as “large plates” like burgers, chicken milanese, seafood, and hanger steak. Small plates include wings, meatballs, calamari, and mussels.
Beebe’s also serves sparkling, white, rose, and red wines by the glass or bottle, along with beer from local breweries and several unique cocktails.
The locale offers a breakfast menu with typical start-of-the-day fare like sandwiches and coffees.
The restaurant pizzas are made by chef Lou Tomczak, known for his work at Williamsburg’s Emmy Squared, and who is also a veteran of Paulie Gee’s pizzeria in Greenpoint. The menu’s New American cuisine, meanwhile. was created by George Mandakas, the hotel’s chef.
Beebe’s is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
