A Long Island City man was arrested Tuesday night along with three other Queens men in connection with the sale and distribution of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine to major New York suppliers, according to authorities.
Dionne Sharrow, 35, aka ‘Slay,’ a resident of the Powerhouse Building at 2-17 51st Ave., was the alleged ringleader supplying his co-defendants with large quantities of narcotics. He maintained a drug stash in a Bath Beach, Brooklyn apartment that his associates referred to as ‘The Palace,” according to police.
Sharrow along with his co-conspirators–Pablo Vallecillo, Antonio Lopez and Jason Keating—were charged for the sale of a controlled substance, conspiracy and other related charges.
The police had been monitoring Sharrow and his crew as part of a comprehensive drug investigation prompted by the fatal overdose of a 26-year-old Bay Ridge man in 2016 and a 42-year-old man in Kew Gardens in May 2017.
Investigators, who had been conducting a year-long wiretap investigation, observed Vallecillo entering Sharrow’s ‘palace’ with a backpack Tuesday and searched the apartment. Police allegedly found cash and drugs strewn around the apartment, including 10 kilograms of various narcotics in an oven. Police also discovered pounds of marijuana.
The police then conducted a search of Sharrow’s two-bedroom apartment on 51st Avenue that night. They seized a loaded firearm, approximately $590,00 of cash that was located inside a safe and elsewhere, and a red 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, which was parked in the Powerhouse garage.
Sharrow and Vallecillo were subsequently arrested, police said.
Keating and Lopez were then arrested at their respective Queens homes. Police found several pounds of marijuana at Keating’s house, and hundreds of glassine envelopes of heroin, two loaded pistols and a shotgun at Lopez’ abode.
The bust represented phase 2 of an investigation that began in the fall of 2017, according to authorities.
The first phase of the investigation dealt with a drug delivery service that operated between Queens and Brooklyn. Police discovered that the two fatal overdoses were supplied by a dealer—Eduardo Ansorena– who ultimately purchased the narcotics from Vallecillo.
Ansorena and nine associated dealers were later indicted. Seven other individuals were indicted who purchased their narcotics from Sharrow, Vallecillo, Lopez and Keating, according to authorities. The drugs were distributed in New York City and Upstate New York.
“Drug crimes are far from victimless,” said Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridge Brennan. “We will be relentless in pursuing those who profit from destroying the lives of others.”
