Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed use building on 31st Street.
The building, planned for 23-71 31st St., will feature ten apartments, as well as commercial space located on the first floor and in the cellar.
Demolition permits for the existing building have not yet been filed. The property was purchased in March for $1.8 million.
The building will be 70 feet tall, with 935 square feet dedicated for commercial use.
The building will include storage space for 5 bicycles as well as a gym/recreational room in the cellar. The plans include a roof-top terrace, with two apartments having private terraces.
The property is two blocks from the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria Boulevard (N/W) subway stations.
The property is owned by Aki Development. ND Kazalas Architecture is designing the building.
