NYPD: Man Punched in Face on 7 Train as it Approached 46th Street/Bliss Station

The police are looking for a man who allegedly punched a subway rider in the face on a Queens-bound No. 7 train as it was approaching the 46th Street/Bliss station in Sunnyside last week.

The suspect struck the victim, a 29-year-old man, without provocation at around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, police said. The attacker allegedly then exited the train at the 46th Street/Bliss station and fled.

The victim was transported to Elmhurst General Hospital where he received care for a laceration and swelling to his lip, police said.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and about 6 feet 1 inches tall.
