NYPD: Man Riding ‘N’ Train with Baby Punches Passenger at 39th Avenue Station

A man who was riding an Astoria-bound ‘N’ train with a baby earlier this month punched a passenger after getting into a verbal dispute, police said.

The suspect, who was riding the train with a woman and baby, got into an argument with a 57-year-old man at about 11:40 a.m. on May 7 after boarding at the 59th Street/Lexington Avenue station to go to Astoria.

As the train approached the 39th Avenue station, the suspect punched the 57-year-old causing him to fall onto the platform where he hit his head.

The victim was treated by EMS on the scene.

The man who threw the punch is described as black and was last seen wearing a black suit jacket, gray pants, gray shoes and seen carrying a baby.

The female who was with him is described as black and was last seen wearing all black.

Surveillance video of the pair was captured at the 39th Avenue station.
