A pub crawl in the spirit of Shakespeare will hit Skillman Avenue tomorrow, with a range of short performances planned at multiple locales on the stretch.
Performers from the Queens-based Titan Theatre Company will pay homage to Shakespeare’s greatest works, including his classic speeches, scenes, and his many references to drinking, in 30-minute shows.
The theater company will begin at The Globe Tavern at 3 p.m., and make its way through establishments like Dog and Duck, Claret, PJ Horgan’s, Stray Vintage, and more. Some impromptu and kid friendly performances will also be sprinkled through the day.
The event was organized along with the Skillman Project, a group of bars and restaurants along the avenue, to raise funds for a local food bank.
A $5 minimum donation in either cash or a non-perishable food is required for interested spectators. Participating locales are also offering food and drink specials.
For more information, visit the Facebook page for the event.
