Food and drink lovers, rejoice: The 13th annual Taste of LIC returns to the back lot at Kaufman Astoria Studios on June 5.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the back lot of Kaufman Astoria Studios, located at 35th Avenue between 35th and 36th streets in Long Island City. Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to The Chocolate Factory Theater’s residency, performance and community programs.
Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer will be the master of ceremonies at the festival, which includes a wide array of food and drink from local businesses in Long Island City. Some of this year’s participants include Alewife, The Baroness Bar and Kitchen, Beebe’s, Blend, Cafe Henri, The Creek & The Cave, M. Wells Steakhouse, Tacuba Cantina Mexicana and Vernon Grille. Online sales for tickets closed on June 4 at 3 p.m, but tickets will be available for purchase at the check in table at Kaufman Astoria Studios beginning at 4:30 p.m. on June 5.
Tickets for the event come at three levels: White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate. White Chocolate tickets are $75 at the door and is eligible for general admission at 6:30 p.m. Milk Chocolate tickets cost $150 and allows guests to enter the event at 5:30 and receive a free T-shirt. Dark Chocolate tickets are $400 and include early-entrance tickets for two guests, a free T-shirt and a thank you for donating an extra $100 in support of The Chocolate Factory.
