The police are looking for a man who allegedly swiped an 85-year-old woman’s wallet at the 46th Street-Bliss subway station Friday after initially helping her get to the train.
The suspect helped the elderly woman get into the station at about 1 p.m. yesterday before removing her purse that contained $130 in cash, a debit card and personal papers, according to police.
The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction. The woman was uninjured.
The police did obtain video footage of the suspect taken from 47-01 Queens Blvd prior to the incident.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, in his 30s, about 5 feet tall and 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, dark-colored shoes, and a blue baseball cap.
