Police are investigating a shooting that took place near the Ravenswood Houses in Astoria early on Sunday morning that left a man injured.
According to police, at 1:09 a.m. on July 29, a 39-year-old man was behind the housing complex when he was shot five times by an unknown suspect.
Officers from the 114th Precinct arrived at the scene and discovered the victim, who was unresponsive. EMS responded to the scene and took the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
