Three Teenagers Go on an Armed Robbery Spree in Astoria Friday

The police are looking for three teenagers who allegedly went on an armed robbery spree in Astoria on Friday.

The first incident took place at 11:45 a.m. when the three male suspects approached a 15-year-old boy on a bicycle in front of 23-38 Broadway and then displayed a knife and pushed him to the ground. They then tried to steal his bicycle but failed in their attempt when the victim resisted. However, they made off with his iPhone 6S Plus when it fell to the ground, police said.

That evening, at 7:25 p.m., the same three teenagers attempted to steal umbrellas from Rite Aid, located at 32-87 Steinway St. When a 50-year-old male employee resisted, police said, they struck him with the umbrellas and punched him in the face. The victim sustained minor injuries.

At 7:45 p.m., the three teens hailed a yellow cab on Steinway Street, between Broadway and 34th Avenue, and when they were being dropped off in front of 1-05 Astoria Blvd. they displayed a knife and took $81 cash from the center console. They then went inside of 1-20 Astoria Blvd., police said.

The suspects are all described as black, between 15-and 19-years of age, with one being 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 145 pounds and last seen wearing a red du-rag, a black ‘Metallica’ T-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.

The second suspect is also about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black du-rang, glasses, a black ‘I Prevail’ T-shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.

The third suspect is about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 pounds, with close-cut black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers.
