A new development is in the works for the Woodside-Sunnyside area.

Permits have been filed for a six-story building at 43-20 52nd St., the current site of a two-story warehouse.

The plans provide for a 14-unit building spanning roughly 20,000 square feet that includes commercial space and a community facility.

The units would begin on the third floor, with the bottom floors reserved for an ambulatory diagnostic or treatment center, retail stores, and a parking garage for seven cars.

The developer is listed as Xiaoke Tang, who purchased the property in late 2015 for $2 million, records show.

The developer did not immediately respond to questions about the new building and its construction timeline. Calls made to the listed number were unsuccessful.

Demolition permits for the warehouse, however, were filed back in February. In addition, the prior owner of the property attempted to enlarge the building for a nine-unit project with commercial space and a community facility prior to selling it off.

The warehouse was built in 1990. It is unclear what business was housed on site, save for a stand on the building that reads “Signs” and “Canopy World”. Attempts to reach the listed number were unsuccessful.
