Two businesses—a pizzeria and a fitness studio—have recently opened up shop in the Queens Plaza area.
Luzzo’s Pizzeria opened at 42-60 Crescent St. the week of Aug. 5. The restaurant is owned by chef Michele Iuliano and Anisa Moloney of the Luzzo’s Group, which has several pizzerias in Manhattan.
The pizzeria offers gourmet pies with ingredients like goat cheese, burrata, and starchiatella cheese, and classics like margherita and four cheeses. Other dishes include soups, salads, and pastas. Pizzas range from $15 to $27, with other dishes priced between $9 and $22.

Meanwhile, SLT, the name of the fitness studio, opened at 42-15 Crescent St. earlier this month. The studio is part of a chain founded in 2011, and offers 90-minute classes focusing on cardio, strength training, and pilates. Classes start at $36, with 10 classes priced at $320 and going up to $1,160 for 40 classes. A monthly unlimited pass is also available for $349, along with other offers.
The Court Square Blog was first to write about the openings.
