A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Northern Boulevard in Long Island City yesterday.
A 46-year-old man was crossing Northern Boulevard near 34th Street outside of the crosswalk at around 2 p.m. yesterday when he was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where is being treated for his injuries. The man had an abrasion to the left side of his body, and injury to his left leg, police said. He also lost a lot of blood.
Police say that the driver did not remain on the scene and that they are continuing to investigate the incident.
