State Sen. James Sanders is well on his way to creating a new tradition in the Rockaways with a Caribbean Day Carnival — which includes a parade and a festival — a week or two before the big celebration in Brooklyn on Labor Day.
In its second year, the Far Rockaway Caribbean Day attracted more than 5,000 people — and a lot of feathers. Don’t take our word for it. See the photos for yourself.
