Police are searching for three men who held a 21-year-old woman up at knifepoint and robbed her last week.
The trio knocked on a door of a commercial building near Steinway Street and 34th Ave. at around 3 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2.
When the victim answered the door, one of the men wrapped his arm around the back of her neck, clasping his hand over her mouth. He then pushed her away from the door and grabbed her by the neck. He forced her to sit down and pulled out a knife, police said.
The two other men then searched the premises, but were unable to find cash. The men went through the victim’s purse and took her three cellphones: a pink iPhone, a green Samsung and a black LG.
The men restrained the woman with a bed sheet and took off.
The victim was uninjured and managed to free herself. She walked to another commercial location and called the police.
Police released surveillance photos from the incident below. The man who attacked the victim is wearing a do-rag.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
