Police released photos and video of a shoplifter who punched an Astoria Rite Aid employee in the face.
Police say that the incident took place on Aug. 14 at 10:30 a.m. inside the Rite Aid at 33-01 30th Ave.
The suspect went inside the store and tried to leave with merchandise without paying, police said. When a store employee approached the suspect, the suspect punched him in the face.
The suspect dropped the merchandise and hurried out of the store. The employee was left with a swollen, painful injury on his face, police say.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man who is between 30 and 40 years old. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
