NYPD and FDNY crew will be on site during the event to ensure safety.
While the media production tied to the explosion was not announced, the event is likely part of Elementary, the contemporary Sherlock Holmes show on CBS starring Lucy Liu and Johnny Lee Miller that has been shooting in Sunnyside over the past several days.
Film crews have been spotted along Queens Boulevard and 43rd Avenue, and have recently filmed inside McGuinness’s at the corner of 45th Street and Queens Boulevard.
