Fake cop flees empty-handed after breaking into a Flushing residence: cops

Detectives are looking for a man who impersonated a police officer and broke into a home in Flushing last month.

According to police, at 9 p.m. on Oct. 22, an unknown man forced his way into a home in the vicinity of Parsons Boulevard and 34th Avenue.

Once inside, authorities said, the suspect displayed a police shield and a handgun to the two victims inside the residence and ordered them to vacate the premises. The crook ultimately fled the scene empty-handed.

Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to the incident. There were no injuries reported.

On Nov. 13, the NYPD released images of the perpetrator. He’s described as a black or Hispanic man and was last seen wearing a black jacket and dark gray or brown pants.
