A 59-year-old subway rider got punched in the face by a passenger yesterday while the train was at the M/R Northern Boulevard station, police said.
The victim was seated on the Manhattan-bound train at about 6:55 a.m. when the suspect boarded, sat down beside him and bumped into the 59-year-old’s legs.
The victim then asked the suspect to move his legs but was punched in the face. The punch left him with a laceration to his nose and his eye glasses were broken. The suspect remained on the train.
The suspect is described as a white Hispanic, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 150 pounds.
A photo of the suspect was taken shortly after the assault, police said.
