The police are looking for three men who robbed an Astoria bodega at gunpoint Saturday night and then shot a Good Samaritan who chased after them.
The three men, one of whom was wearing a fake police shield around his neck, went into the Bonoful Grocery, located at 29-11 36th Ave., and claimed some illegal activity was taking place inside the store, according to the NYPD.
The men then displayed a firearm and went on to take $2,000 in cash from the register. They then fled westbound on 36th Avenue, police said.
A 30-year-old man who was in the store at the time pursued the trio on foot and after a brief scuffle was shot one time in the leg near the corner of 36th Avenue and 29th Street.
The suspects then fled in a burgundy minivan northbound on 29th Street. EMS transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
