City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) will host a Thanksgiving Day dinner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Arabella’s Castle, a boutique banquet hall in Ozone Park.

“No one should be alone on Thanksgiving,” said Ulrich. “While the holidays are usually happy occasions for many of us, they can be sad or lonely days for others. There are people living in our community who suffer from depression or have nowhere to go on Thursday. I want them to spend Thanksgiving with me.”

The venue is located at 92-01 101 Ave. and seniors and those with disabilities will receive free transportation if they call (718) 738-1083, according to Ulrich’s office.

The event is free and open to the public and the councilman said he wouldn’t turn anyone away for the dinner.

Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach is one of several local restaurants contributing to the dinner.

“I have wonderful memories of large family gatherings growing up and I’m thankful for each of them. I want to give back,” said Ulrich. “ Let’s make this Thanksgiving a happy occasion and bring love to those who need it most.”
