Off-duty FDNY employee charged with DWI while driving on the expressway in Queens: cops

Police arrested an off-duty FDNY employee for drunk driving on the Long Island Expressway near the Forest Hills/Corona border on Sunday morning.

According to police, at around 7:45 a.m. on Dec. 9, 35-year-old Paul Parr was driving erratically westbound on the Long Island Expressway. He was pulled over by an officer from the 112th Precinct near the Grand Central Parkway.

After he was stopped, Parr reportedly refused to take a blood alcohol test.

Parr was arrested at 8:18 that morning. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to take a breath test.
