An Ozone Park man could be looking at some serious jail time after he was arrested on Thursday morning with illegal amounts of weed and a pocket revolver loaded with bullets.
According to the criminal complaint from the Queens District Attorney’s office, the 106th Precinct acted on a search warrant at 104-36 Rockaway Blvd. just after 7 a.m. on Jan. 10.
Upon entering the home, they allegedly discovered John Brown, 26, with not only a large quantity of marijuana, but also cannabis oil, packaging materials and a scale.
According to the charges, law enforcement found three parcels mailed to Brown’s address, one of which contained a metal knuckle knife and $5,123 in cash.
The small arsenal also included a double-bladed sword, the complaint said.
Cops recovered five bags of marijuana weighing five pounds and two more 1.7 ounce bags, the complaint said. There were also six bags of edible THC gummies, 13 jars and 60 cans of weed and close to 300 THC vaping cartridges.
Most of the stash was found in a storage closet on the first floor of the home, but there were also allegedly 23 tins each containing pre-rolled joints in Brown’s second floor bedroom, the complaint said.
Cops stated in the complaint that Brown allegedly had $854 in his possession at the time he was arrested.
Charged with possession of a loaded firearm, marijuana over 16 ounces and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, Brown has been arraigned in Queens Criminal Court and is being held on a $30,000 bond.
Out of the five counts against Brown, three are felonies, according to court records.
