The police have arrested one of the three suspects wanted for a string of violent robberies that have taken place in Sunnyside this month.

Police arrested a 15-year-old youth on Friday afternoon and charged him with three counts of robbery, two counts of assault and one count of a gang assault. The police would not release his name, given his age. However, the teen is a resident of Queens, according to the NYPD.

The suspect was arrested for his alleged involvement in an assault of a 62-year-old man in front of Burger King, at 40-15 Queens Blvd., on Saturday, March 9; the sucker-punching and robbery of a 34-year-old man at Greenpoint and 48th Avenues on March 11; and the robbery of a 45-year-old man at knife point who was walking to work on Monday, March 18, at around 1:20 a.m. by 34-00 Review Ave.

The police have yet to arrest the other two suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
