Film featuring Ocasio-Cortez to be screened at Windmuller Park Saturday

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fans can book their calendars for an outdoor documentary screening this weekend.
“Knock Down the House,” the award-winning film that follows the freshman congresswoman’s victorious underdog campaign, will be screened at Windmuller Park on Saturday night at 8:15. The event is free and open to the public.
The “sneak preview” screening comes in advance of the film’s May 1st Netflix premiere. The streaming giant bought the film for a record-setting $10 million in February shortly after it aired at the Sundance Film Festival, taking home the fan favorite award in the documentary category.
Ocasio-Cortez is one of four progressive female candidates that documentarian Rachel Lears follows in the film.
Access to premiere at Windmuller will begin at 7 p.m., and limited chairs will be available on a first come, first served basis. Attendees are otherwise invited to bring their own blankets and chairs to sit on.
A Q&A with Lears will follow the screening.
Prior to the screening, the congresswoman is hosting a town hall in nearby Corona from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities Center.
