Craft ice cream maker Ice & Vice has reopened its pop up shop in Long Island City for the 2019 season.
The shop, located at 27-20 Jackson Ave., held a soft opening on Monday, with a grand opening set for Friday April 19. Ice & Vice held its first popup in the same space last summer, serving up a selection of handcrafted artisanal ice creams filled with unusual ingredients.

On the menu is the Opium Den ice cream, which features white sesame, toasted poppy seeds and lemon bread croutons. The shop also offers a twist on the traditional chocolate ice cream, using smoked dark chocolate and a caramelized chocolate ganache.
The seasonal menu, which changes throughout the year, currently features a Canadian-inspired maple and ginger ice cream, and an unexpected TV dinner-themed flavor that incorporates carrots, cloves, and sweet pea frosting.
Even the store’s cones are speciality, having sold cone flavors including salted blue corn and dark chocolate chai. Ice & Vice also makes ice cream pies and sandwiches.
The pop up is a homecoming for Ice & Vice, which first began selling its ice cream at the LIC Flea & Food market. In June 2017, the company opened a flagship store in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, later followed by a kiosk location in Times Square.
Ice & Vice’s LIC location will be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
