A bouncer was shot twice outside a troubled Long Island City strip joint early Monday morning, police say.

A 42-year-old bouncer was shot once in the left leg and again in the left arm while guarding the door of Show Palace Gentlemen’s Club, located at 42-50 21 St., around 4:42 a.m. this morning, according to police.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the bouncer to Elmhurst Hospital. The bouncer is likely to recover.

The unidentified shooter fled the scene in an unknown direction, police say.

Show Palace, a strip club known for its fully-nude dancers, has been the location of several previous incidents since opening in 2012 and has been cited for incidents including prostitution, gun violence, harassment, and illegal drug use.

The club has operated without a liquor license since its opening, with the State Liquor Authority repeatedly denying a license to the locale due to its history for crime and being near a growing residential area.

The investigation regarding this latest incident remains ongoing.
