The Parent Teacher Association at P.S. 150 is holding a fundraiser this Friday to raise money for a host of programs offered at the 40-01 43rd Ave. school.

The fundraiser is scheduled to take place at Jack’s Fire Department, a bar/restaurant located at 39-46 Skillman Ave., from 8 to 10 p.m.

The funds raised will got toward the school’s chess, dance, art and music programs. It will also fund the 5th grade musical production that plays to a sell-out crowd each year.

P.S. 150 is a sought-after school, offering a gifted and talented program and a thriving dual-language Spanish/English program. The school is also a title 1 school that supports students from low-income families.

“As a parent new to the P.S. 150 community, I am impressed with the level of dedication of our current PTA … and how many projects and events that the PTA funds and hosts,” said Crista Giuliani, who has a child at the school. “The PTA really does do an amazing job of enhancing the already great programs offered at P.S. 150.”

The event will take place in the outside area of Jack’s Fire Department and has a theme of “Night Under the Stars.” The outdoor space is covered.

The PTA is inviting the public—including residents without students at the school—to attend. Tickets, which can be bought online, are $25 and include two drinks and appetizers.

The event also features an auction, with residents able to bid for items online.

Auction items include signed footballs from the Giants and Jets, tickets to Mets and Yankees games, summer camps, tickets to One World Observatory and American Girl Dolls among others.
