Tickets to the ninth annual Taste of Sunnyside event happening next Tuesday are just about gone, with organizers making one last call to the public to purchase their tickets.

The May 21 event, at the P.C. Richard parking lot on Queens Boulevard, includes nearly 25 area restaurants offering tastings, along with a variety of beverages from more than 10 local breweries and bars.

Attendees who buy VIP tickets will get three hours to sample all that is to offer—from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Foodies who buy general admission tickets will get two hours—from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.– to taste.

VIP tickets cost $75, with general admission $40. The event is organized by Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District (BID).

The Taste of Sunnyside, which is the BID’s biggest event each year, will also feature an open-air beer garden section and interactive community arts.

Live entertainment is being provided by DJ Save Swirsky, who played at December’s Sunnyside Fire Relief Community Fundraiser.

In addition, attendees can enter a series of raffles to win prizes like round trip JetBlue tickets, a year-long family membership to the LIC YMCA, a six-month family membership to Supreme Team Boxing, and more.

Maggie Mae’s Bar, located at 41-15 Queens Blvd., will host a Taste of Sunnyside afterparty. People wearing admission bracelets from the Taste will get discounted drinks at the bar.

“The Taste of Sunnyside has always been an event that really celebrates our community in a very special way,” said Jaime-Faye Bean, executive director of Sunnyside Shines. “We are grateful for the generosity shown by the restaurants, beverage purveyors, raffle donors, entertainers and volunteers who make this event possible and really show our attendees what Sunnyside is all about.”

Tickets can be purchased online at tasteofsunnyside.com,
