Man Steals Bags and Items Worth $2,320 From Woodside Church: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who allegedly walked into a Woodside church and swiped some bags.

On April 18 around 8:55 p.m., the suspect entered Sure Foundation Lutheran Church, located at 64-20 Roosevelt Ave., and stole two unattended bags that belonged to two choir members who were singing at the time.

The two victims, an 18-year-old female and a 23-year-old female, had their iPhones, wallets, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items in their bags at the time. The total value of the stolen property was around $2,320.

The thief is described by police as Hispanic, in his late 30’s, and had a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded winter jacket, red sweatshirt, dark pants and a gray backpack.

Police are offering a reward up to $2,500 for information regarding the Grand Larceny.
