Trio beats 41-year-old woman on a Long Island City street in an effort to steal her cellphone: NYPD

Cops are looking for three people who attacked and robbed a woman on a Long Island City street last month.

Police say that at 11:20 p.m. on April 22, a 41-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 39th Avenue and 31st Street when three unknown individuals approached her from behind. The suspects then began to punch the victim throughout her head and body and pushed her to the ground.

One of the suspects then took the victim’s cellphone and the trio fled the scene to parts unknown.

The incident was reported to the 114th Precinct. EMS responded to the location, however the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspects are described as one black man and two black women, all in their late teens or early 20s. The male suspect was last seen wearing a light-colored cap, light jacket, light pants and dark shoes; the first female suspect was last seen wearing all dark clothing and the second female suspect was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and pants.
