The police are searching for a man who allegedly swiped a 28-year-old woman’s cellphone at the Queens Plaza station in Long Island City last month.
On Tuesday May 7, at around 1 p.m., the suspect approached the victim who was sitting on a platform bench waiting for a Jamaica-bound E train. He then grabbed the phone out of her hands and then fled the station, according to police.
The victim was uninjured.
Police released photos and videos of the suspect yesterday.
The suspect is described as being black, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing an all grey sweat suit and black sneakers.
