Man Breaks Into More Than 20 Stores in Western Queens in Five Weeks: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who allegedly burglarized 23 stores in western Queens over the course of five weeks in July and August.

According to the police, the burglaries took place between July 16 and Aug. 23 within the confines of four precincts in western Queens.

The stores that were hit were located in the 104th, 108th, 112th and 114th precincts, police said.

Police have named 33-year-old Mark Tortora as the suspect.

Tortora allegedly targeted establishments without a security gate. He would go inside and steal cash, lotto tickets and other merchandise from the stores.

He is described as white, weighing approximately 155 pounds and standing at roughly 5 feet 7 inches in height.
