Three units in a newly construction Woodside apartment building are now open through the city’s affordable housing lottery and applicants must make nearly $80,000 annually to qualify.
One one-bedroom unit and two two-bedroom units are up for grabs at 52-22 Roosevelt Ave, a building boosting stainless steel appliances, an in-unit washer and dryer, a dishwasher, storage room and even a rooftop deck.
The building is located at the site where Mexican restaurant La Adelita once stood.
The one-bedroom unit is available to households of one, two or three people and costs $2,285 a month. Applicants must make at least $78,343 annually and at most $124,930 for an annual combined household income of three people to qualify for the one-bedroom unit.
The two-bedroom units are priced at $2,650 a month and are available to households of two to five people. To qualify for the lottery, applicants must have an annual combined household income of $90,858 to $149,890.
The building is next to the 7 train, and is near the Q32, Q60 and Q104 bus routes. Tenants are responsible for paying all utilities besides hot water, which is included in the rent.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 18.
While the units are given out to eligible applicants through a lottery, some preference is given to applicants with vision, mobility and hearing disabilities. No preference is given to residents of Community Board 2.
