The police are looking for a man suspected of stealing a suitcase containing $1,200 from a Howard Johnson motel in Dutch Kills last month.
A 23-year-old man left his suitcase with the front desk at the Howard Johnson motel at 38-61 12th St. at 2:10 p.m. on Wed., July 24, and when he returned to collect it was gone. He was told by a worker that an unidentified man had taken it and fled northbound on 12th Street.
The suspect was caught on CCTV as he took the case from the hotel’s reception and was observed to be a young white man with short black hair, wearing a black t-shirt and gray shorts. The case contained cash and four credit cards.
